According to the National Center for Trade Zone employees, in the face of the current crisis in the country, the heads of those factories are preparing to remove about 30 percent of the garment factories from the country and set up in other countries.
Its convener Gamini Ratnayake said that this is due to the inability to release export products to the market, the inability to import raw materials and the shortage of fuel.
He added that overall production in the garment industry had fallen significantly, especially due to the fuel crisis.
