Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has congratulated Ranil Wickremesinghe on his election as the new Prime Minister.
The new Prime Minister has sworn in a short while ago and this appointment was made to fill the vacancy created by the recent resignation of the former Prime Minister.
