The CID has begun recording statements from several police chiefs regarding the meeting at Temple Trees and the ensuing violence.
According to police sources, the Director of the Prime Minister’s Security Division, the Kollupitiya OIC and several other officers have been staying at the CID since 6.00 am today to make statements.
The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of a Senior Superintendent of Police and several teams from the CID have been appointed for the purpose.
