7 deaths, 200+ injuries and 150+ arsons across the country from yesterday’s events

There have been nine deaths, more than 200 injuries and more than 150 arsons and assaults in yesterday’s incidents across the country.

Three deaths have been reported in Nittambuwa, two in Weeraketiya and one in Katana, police said.

All deaths in Nittambuwa and Weeraketiya were due to shootings, police said.

Katana’s death was caused by the result of an attack on a well – known hotel in Katana.

More than 200 people who were injured in the attack are being treated at hospitals, police said.

According to the police, most of the houses and properties that have been set on fire belong to politicians and a large number of properties belong to MPs and ministers.
