The Petroleum Transport Bowser Owners’ Association says that they will withdraw from transporting fuel in the face of the crisis situation that has arisen in the country.
The secretary of the association D. V. Shantha Silva has written a letter to the chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation saying that a decision regarding fuel transportation will be taken again after the insecurity prevails in the country.
However, the letter added that fuel transport could be reconsidered if adequate security was provided for their bowsers.
