State Minister of Tourism and Fisheries D. V. Chanaka says that a special statement will be presented to Parliament today (20) at 4 pm regarding the Sri Lankan currency allegedly taken to Uganda.

There has been controversy in the country over money taken to Uganda by three planes. SriLankan Airlines has previously announced that it has taken the printing money of the BOI-owned money printing company to Uganda.

However, Piti, a foreign currency printing company in Sri Lanka, declined to comment. Accordingly, all relevant information will be tabled in Parliament this evening, said Minister of State D. V. Chanaka.
