Today is Good Friday, which is commemorated by Christians around the world.

Good Friday is celebrated on the Friday before Easter Sunday.

Accordingly, this time Easter Sunday is the day after tomorrow.

Today is a reminder of the suffering on which Jesus Christ was crucified.

This commemorates the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Mount Calvary through fasting and sacrifice for 40 days starting from Ash Wednesday on the lent season of the Easter season, which marks the culmination of the Eucharist.

A special service will be held in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican this evening under the patronage of His Holiness Pope Francis.
