Eleven government ally parties state that they will not sign the no-confidence motion brought by the Samagi Janabalawegaya against the government.

Jayantha Samaraweera, the National Organizer of the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna representing the 11 parties stated that certain forces are bringing a no-confidence motion in the hope of going for a election.

He stated that bringing such a no-confidence motion would further destabilize the country and that the government’s allies would not agree to any resolution that would destabilize the country.

Meanwhile, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, a Member of Parliament representing the Independent Parliamentary Group of Independent Parliamentarians, recently stated that no one has discussed a no-confidence motion with him.
