Ali Sabri, Minister of Finance said that discussions will be held with the International Monetary Fund on the 18th to seek assistance to bring the Sri Lankan economy to a stable level.
The Minister of Finance, the Governor of the Central Bank, and a group of officials are scheduled to leave for Washington in the United States.
Meanwhile, initial steps have been taken to select financial and legal advisers within 21 days to assist the government in restructuring international debt.
