Former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal has been barred from traveling abroad by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today.
The order was issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawela after considering complaints lodged by former Governor Keerthi Tennakoon alleging misappropriation of public funds during his tenure as Governor of the Central Bank.
Ajith Nivard Cabraal has been summoned to appear in court on the 18th.
