It is reported that with the lifting of the curfew, all public transport services have returned to normal today.
Following the lifting of the police curfew imposed by the government last Saturday at 6 am today, all transport services including trains, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and private buses have resumed their services from this morning.
Accordingly, all office trains are running normally.
However, the long distance train was delayed by an hour, according to the Railway Department.
The Department of Railways said that the train service will be restored by this afternoon.
