The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) says that the daily power cuts could be reduced to four hours if the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) provides the fuel required to generate electricity from the fuel stocks received to the country on the 2nd.

The fuel will be delivered to Sri Lanka under India’s line of credit.

It is expected that the fuel will reach the CEB around 11 tonight.

Accordingly, the Ceylon Electricity Board says that they expects to reduce the power cuts by about two hours from tomorrow.
