Helicopter rides or domestic flights to cabinet ministers and state ministers have been suspended without special approval from the defense ministry.
Sri Lanka Air Force Media Spokesman Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe told NewsWave.lk that the decision was taken in view of the fuel crisis and several other factors.
He added that the Air Force has also decided to restrict the facility of booking helicopters for the general public.
