The Ministry of Energy says that all petrol stations have been instructed to keep a surplus of fuel for vehicles engaged in essential services.
Minister Gamini Lokuge said that those involved in the relevant services should fulfill their fuel requirements after giving prior notice.
The Minister also pointed out that this should be done in collaboration with petrol stations in their area.
