Fuel queues start to reduce – 02 ships with petrol and diesel arrived in SL

Long queues for petrol and diesel have been significantly reduced in many areas today.

There have been long queues at petrol stations especially in Maradana and Dematagoda areas over the past few days and today it has come down drastically.

Most gas stations say they have enough fuel.

Oil bowsers will continue to depart from the Kolonnawa oil storage complex.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy states that US $ 42 million has been paid to the Singaporean company that owns the diesel cargo ship anchored near the Colombo harbor.

The ship had been anchored near the port of Colombo for nearly two weeks.

The ship has a capacity of 20,000 metric tons of diesel.

It is said that another ship carrying 35,000 metric tons of petrol has arrived in Sri Lanka under the Indian loan facility.
