A fuel queue dispute kills a motorcyclist

A motorcyclist who came to buy fuel was killed from a hit by a three-wheel driver in a fight between the two near the Horagolla petrol station in Nittambuwa.

The Nittambuwa Police stated that a fuel queue issue has caused the dispute.

The incident took place last night and the Nittambuwa Police are conducting investigations to arrest the three-wheeler driver, according to the Police Headquarters.

A statement issued by the Police Headquarters stated that the three-wheel driver had proceeded after obtaining fuel and had assaulted the motorcyclist with a sharp object while he was refueling.

The injured motorcyclist was admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital and succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatments. He was a 29-year-old resident of Grandpass, Colombo.
