The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) says that the issuance of electricity bills has been hampered due to the shortage of paper in the market.
Its media spokesman, Deputy General Manager Andrew Navamani, said only a limited number of bills remained in their offices.
Accordingly, if there are no bills, the CEB head office has instructed offices whose bills have been finalized to write down the details of the relevant bill on a normal plain paper and issue the bills.
