The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has decided to close the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery from tomorrow (20) night.
This is due to the lack of sufficient crude oil for refining.
It is said that the required crude oil has been ordered from several private companies.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation stated that the refinery will resume operations as soon as it receives the crude oil.
