Cabinet approves transfer of a plot of land in the Muthurajawela Industrial Zone owned by the Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation to a private company on a 30-year lease basis.
A 400 acre land in Muthurajawela owned by the Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation has been developed by pumping sea sand.
A number of plots of land have been handed over to public and private investors for nationally important projects.
The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) has informed that Emergent Cold (Pvt) Ltd. has requested for a portion of the said land for freezer storage facilities and that the company has fulfilled the basic qualifications under Section 17 of the BOI Act to acquire the relevant land
Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development and Housing, to proceed with the related activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
