Dates set for a case against Wimal and 06 others of the National Freedom Front

Magistrate Chandima Liyanage issued the order today against Jathika Nidahas Peramuna leader Wimal Weerawansa and six others to be arraigned in Colombo on the 30th for allegedly harassing former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Seyed Al Hussein during a visit to Sri Lanka in 2016 by organizing a protest in front of the UN headquarters in Colombo.

Minister Wimal Weerawansa, State Minister Jayantha Samaraweera, Parliamentarian Mohamed Muzammil, Weerakumara Dissanayake, Piyasiri Wijenayake and Roger Seneviratne are out on bail regarding this incident and they appeared in court today.

This order was issued when the defendants, in this case, appeared in court on bail.
