An actor who was involved in a road accident while driving under the influence of alcohol has been arrested by the Kalutara North Police this evening (04).
A teacher at an international school has been hit by a car while traveling with her father and is being treated at a hospital, police said. She is a resident of Dediyawala, North Kalutara. The teacher’s father was riding the motorcycle and she was not injured in the accident.
The accident had taken place while four persons, including the actor, were traveling to a party. The actor was traveling from Kalutara to Wadduwa. According to the police, the motorbike had put signal to turn to the right and the car had pulled out of control and collided with the motorbike.
The teacher was thrown about ten meters away.
The motorcycle was thrown out of the road and the teacher who had fallen on the road had been rushed to hospital by the residents of the area. At that time, the actor had an argument with the locals. Police say that the villagers assulted the acter.
