The Private Bus Owners’ Association has decided to run trips only during school and office hours from today (01).

That is due to the existing fuel shortage.

The Private Bus Owners’ Association stated that if there is no fuel today (March 01), about 75% of private buses in the country will have to stop operating.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy has stated that the arrival of ships carrying diesel to Sri Lanka will be delayed by two more days.

Earlier it was announced that the ships would arrive in Sri Lanka on Monday (Feb. 28), but there was a delay in the transportation of fuel, the Ministry of Energy said.

It has affected the Diesel shortage in Sri Lanka and many sectors have been adversely affected due to that.
