Bite Dance Company in China, which owns the social media site Tik Tok, was initially allowed to upload one-minute videos to Tik Tok.
Last year, the company took steps to increase it to 3 minutes.
However, Tiktok announced on Monday that it had been able to upload 10 minutes of pre-recorded video.
