Mount Lavinia Police have raided a spa maintained as an Ayurvedic Contact Center for a long time in Mount Lavinia and arrested six women.
The raid was carried out last evening following a surveillance operation by an undercover detective.
The arrested women were aged between 48 and 19 years. They are residents of Rawathawatte, Buttala, Horowpothana, Dankanda, and Yatiyantota.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the residents had worked as prostitutes while staying in a spa after lying to their houses that they were working in Colombo offices.
The suspects will be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court today.
