Strong earthquake in Sumatra shakes Singapore, Malaysia

An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 in the Richter scale shakes the region of Pasman Bharath in West Sumatra, Indonesia.

As a result, buildings in neighboring countries Singapore and Malaysia were shaken, according to foreign reports.

However, the National Disaster Management Center says that there is no threat to Sri Lanka from this earthquake.
