The number of Covid deaths in Sri Lanka has crossed 16,000, with the Director-General of Health Services confirming today that another 30 Covid-19 related deaths occurred yesterday.
The number of Covid-19 deaths recorded in the country since the outbreak has risen to 16,024.
Among the deaths reported today were 20 men and 10 women and six of the dead were between the ages of 30-59.
The remaining 24 are in the age group of 60 years and above.
