Containers containing waste matter which were previously seized by the Central Environmental Authority and Sri Lanka Customs are re-exported to Britain today (21) by the authorities at the Port of Colombo.
There was a great deal of controversy in the country regarding these waste containers which were imported to Sri Lanka from Britain some time ago.
Authorities later decided to re-export them, which ended today at the Port of Colombo.
