External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris says that the BIMSTEC Summit will be held in Colombo on the 31st of next month.
Sri Lanka is currently chairing the BIMSTEC Summit, which represents seven countries.
The Minister said that all the seven-member countries have been invited to participate in this conference.
He also said that the Indian Foreign Minister is scheduled to pay a two-day official visit to Sri Lanka on the 18th of next month.
This is a very important opportunity for the country in recent times, said External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris.
