The Cabinet yesterday approved the procurement of 40,000 metric tonnes of diesel and 40,000 metric tonnes of petrol from the Indian Oil Company.
The statement issued by the Cabinet Secretariat in this regard is as follows.
The Ministry of Energy is in talks with the Indian Oil Company to procure 40,000 metric tons of diesel and 40,000 metric tons of petrol. Accordingly, the Indian Oil Company has agreed to supply a shipment of 40,000 metric tons of diesel. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Minister of Energy, to proceed with the relevant activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
