90% of doctors in Sri Lanka have been fully vaccinated and even their children have been vaccinated against Covid, says Prof. Suneth Agampodi, Public Health Specialist, Infectious Diseases and Epidemiologist, Faculty of Medicine, Rajarata University.
He points out that while the medical community is taking the vaccines and surviving from covid, some are still risking their lives following the rumors on social media and not listening to what doctors are saying.
The professor also revealed that the global number of child deaths associated with COVID-19 has exceeded 14,000.
The professor says the death warrants for a significant number of Covid child deaths were written by their own parents.
He alleges that anti-vaccine activists were behind those deaths.
