Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Minister of State for Cooperatives, Marketing Development and Consumer Protection has also been diagnosed with the Covid virus.
That was after a Covid investigation conducted by the Minister today.
Several ministers and MPs, including the Speaker of Parliament, are currently receiving treatment for Covid infection.
So far there are 46 MPs and ministers representing the parliament have been infected with Covid.
