The Ministry of Health today (29) celebrated the one-year anniversary of the commencement of the Covid vaccination drive in Sri Lanka to save the country from the global epidemic.
The Covid Vaccination one-year anniversary National program is held under the theme “Eksathwa – Eksithwa – Sawimathwa” as a tribute to the humanity who challenged the plague.
This celebration is currently being held as a simple ceremony with the participation of Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella, Minister of State for Covid Administration Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Former Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Minister of State Channa Jayasumana, health sector officials, doctors nurses, and with the blessing of religious leaders.
Celebrations to mark the one-year anniversary of the vaccination program will be held islandwide today at the divisional level and at the level of the Medical Officer of Health divisions.
