Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Acting General Manager Dr. Susantha Perera stated that there will be no power cuts today (24) and tomorrow (25) despite there being plans to cut power across the country.
The Sapugaskanda power plant can resume electricity-generating operations as a stock of fuel from the Yugadanavi power plant is to be handed over to the Sapugaskanda power plant, he said.
Accordingly, there will be no power cuts today and tomorrow and if necessary, the date of the power cuts will be announced later, the CEB Acting Chairman said.
