Former President Maithripala Sirisena has said that there is no truth in the rumors that the Sri Lanka Freedom Party will leave the government and take over as the Leader of the Opposition.

The former president further stated that he did not want to take over the post of Leader of the Opposition and bully anyone.

He said that his party’s voice had not been silenced in the recent past and those party conventions would be held in five or six more districts in the near future. He added that the sound will be heard again from the party in the near future.
