The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has advised registered travel agencies to charge a foreign currency only when issuing visas to foreigners.
Accordingly, foreigners will no longer be charged Rupees and registered travel agencies will have to charge in pounds or other currencies for the service provided.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has taken this decision as a solution to the foreign exchange deficit in Sri Lanka.
