China has agreed to donate one million metric tons of rice to Sri Lanka as a donation, Trade Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena said.
The Minister said that this consignment of rice will be received on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Rubber-Rice Agreement between China and Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, the stock of rice will reach Sri Lanka before next April, said Minister Bandula Gunawardena.
