Veteran singer Neela Wickramasinghe, who was working as the new Consul General in Milan, Italy, has passed away.
She died of a heart attack this morning.
She sang background music for about 67 movies and a large number of songs of her became extremely popular.
‘Parami Dham’, ‘Sudu Muthu Rala Pela’, ‘Pem Sililare’, ‘Dethata Walalu’, ‘Master Sir’, ‘Vio Gee’, ‘Punchi Site Punchi Sina’, ‘Mage Lowata Oba Vadina Thura’ are some of the songs that have captured the hearts of fans in the past as well as the present.
She became the new Consul General in Milan last year.
