The Secretary of the Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters’ Association Kasun Chamara Jayasekara stated that several mail trains and long-distance trains have been abruptly cancelled.
He said that the Colombo Fort / Badulla night mail train, Colombo Fort – Batticaloa, and Colombo Fort – Trincomalee mail trains have been canceled.
He also said that several more trains are uncertain until they run.
Meanwhile, the Railway Station Masters’ Association has decided to withdraw from booking train seats for the coming days.
