A Singaporean national has been arrested by the Police Special Task Force yesterday with a firearm and several drugs.
The Special Task Force (STF) said that among the weapons recovered from the house of the Singaporean national, who was residing in a house on Pahalawela Road, Pelawatta, were possession of haz oil, Kerala cannabis, a German-made pistol, and a small bow-shaped improved pistol and 21 arrows used for it.
The raid was carried out on a tip-off received by STF OIC Chief Inspector Nadeeka Silva. The suspect has been handed over to the Thalangama Police Station for further investigations.
