Specialist Dr. Deepal Perera, of Ridgeway Children’s Hospital, Colombo requested the parents to give their children the Covid vaccine without fear or suspicion.
These days, Covid vaccines are given to school children between the ages of 12 and 15, but some parents refuse to give the vaccine out of fear, said Mr. Perera.
Specialist Dr. Deepal Perera said that there is no need to be unnecessarily scared or suspicious as Covid vaccines are given to children above the age of five in developed countries of the world.
Therefore, parents are requested to make sure that every child over the age of 12 is vaccinated against Covid, he said.
