Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Minister of Ports and Shipping says that the construction work of the Eastern Terminal of the Colombo Port will commence on the 12th.
He said the Sri Lanka Ports Authority would make an initial investment of US $ 510 million, including US $ 300 million in financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank.
The inauguration will be held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Accordingly, the construction of the Eastern Jetty of the Colombo Port will be completed by the middle of 2024, said the Minister of Ports and Shipping Rohitha Abeygunawardena.
