The Chinese government has decided to ban tattooing on players representing the national football team.

Accordingly, athletes who have tattoos on their bodies have been ordered to have their tattoos removed.

The Chinese authorities have stated that the decision was made with the intention of setting a better example.

China has been implementing a special program to restrict tattooing since 2018, and some athletes have previously been advised to wear clothing that covers the tattoo.

Tattoos are looked down upon in Chinese culture, and in the past, tattooing was practiced by criminals, and today it is extensively used by organized criminals.
