Highways Minister Johnston Fernando says all ambulances have been exempted from expressway tolls.
Ambulances affiliated with government and private hospitals have also been exempted from expressway tolls.
Highway tolls were charged for ambulances previously and they have been temporarily exempted from expressway tolls since last May due to the Covid epidemic.
