The Deputy Director General of Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath said Vaccine Advisory Committee has granted the approval to provide one dose of Pfizer to all children between the ages of 12 and 15.
Hemantha Herath said that it has also been decided to give the second dose to children between the ages of 16 and 18 who have already been given only one dose.
Pfizer vaccine was previously administered only to children with special needs between the ages of 12 and 15.
Hemantha Herath stated this at a media briefing held today.
