Former President Maithripala Sirisena recently clashed directly with ruling party MPs in parliament. From the beginning, Minister Ranatunga who said from the beginning that not to involve SLPF in the government, openly told the SLFP faction, including Maithripala Sirisena, to leave the government this time as well.
However, this situation has escalated and the date of Maithripala Sirisena leaving the government is approaching and it has even been discussed in Parliament and some political secret talks recently. It is part of the same conversation that not only the SLFP MPs but also several Pohottu MPs will leave the government with Maithri when he leaves the government.
Meanwhile, a parallel rumor had recently surfaced in a secret hotel in Colombo that former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had split with an SJB group and would be joining President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
