Veteran state award winning stage drama director Rajitha Dissanayake has resigned from all his posts in the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation yesterday (1).
It is reported that he has resigned due to ideological clashes with the current administration including the chairman of the radio station.
Rajitha Dissanayake worked for the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation for more than two decades.
He directed a number of state-award-winning stage plays, such as ‘2019 July masaye ek Dawasak’, ‘Bakamuna weedi Basi’, ‘Nathuwama bari minihek’, ‘Hithala gaththu theeranayak’, ‘Sihina horu aran’, ‘Hansayanta man asai’ etc.
