The Negombo Divisional Crime Investigation Division has arrested a man with over 23 kilos of potassium nitrate and a firearm hidden in a house in Kaluwarippuwa, Katana.
The firearm is a foreign-made air rifle. In addition, a sword and two sharp knives were found in his residence.
The arrested suspect has been handed over to the Katana Police for further investigation and is due to be produced in court today.
