The Independent Association of Indigenous and Ayurvedic Physicians alleges that the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) continues to oppose Ayurvedic doctors and local medical treatments.

The convener of the Independent Association of Indigenous and Ayurvedic Physicians, Dr. Sumudu Liyanarachchi, said that legal action would be taken against the activities of the Government Medical Officers’ Association in the future.

Ms. Liyanarachchi said that although the President of the Government Medical Officers’ Association Anuruddha Padeniya spoke in front of the media appreciating localism, his hypocrisy was exposed by these actions.

Ms. Sumudu Liyanarachchi said that the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) had obstructed the Ayurvedic clinics at several locations in the past few days held in order to treat the side effects of people who had received Covid vaccines using local medical treatments.
