A stock of 1.5 million doses of Pfizer Covid vaccine is scheduled to arrive on the island tomorrow (22), said Minister of State Prof. Channa Jayasumana.
He also says that another stock of 400,000 Pfizer vaccines will arrive on the island day after tomorrow (23).
The company has agreed to supply 3 million doses of Pfizer vaccine to Sri Lanka every week from December, the Minister of State for Pharmaceuticals, Supplies and Regulation said.
About 90% of the population over the age of 20 in the country has been vaccinated so far, he said.
