“The decision will be taken in due course, whether to leave the government or not” – Duminda Dissanayaka

Minister of State Duminda Dissanayake says that the party will take a timely decision on whether to remain in the government enjoying ministerial privileges or not in the face of shortcomings.

He also said that his party was not ready to remain silent in the face of fraud and corruption despite holding ministerial posts.

The Minister of State also stated that the representatives of his party who are already representing the local government bodies are not receiving due recognition by the ruling party.

Due to this, the proposal to contest the forthcoming elections alone is being discussed in-depth within the SLFP, he said.Minister of State Duminda Dissanayake said that it was unfortunate that the strongmen of the government had forgotten the support given by his party to form the present government.

He stated this while addressing a function in Anuradhapura.
